First Birthday

So I noticed that I haven't blogged about B's 1st Birthday! We celebrated his birthday with a pool party. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors came to celebrate. Grandma Moore rented a HUGE water slide that I regretfully have no pictures of. The parents had fun on it and the kids were terrified of it. The neighbor kids also loved it and surprisingly no one was hurt too badly. The only injury was our neighbor gave himself a sweet black eye. B had so much fun getting attention from everyone. He loved opening presents. He got lots of fun toys that he still plays with 3 months later. His favorite gift was a large cardboard box. Go figure. His uncle turned it into a house. It has become that favorite toy of every child that has come to our house since. B thinks he is too cool when goes in and shuts the door. He also stands at the window and talks to us. It is way cute!

Dad and I bought B a rocking cow. He recently learned how to rock it himself. He is just like a real cowboy!

Despite all the attention and despite all the toys, B's FAVORITE part of the party was eating his birthday cupcake. Here is his first experience with cake:

After he took a little taste he started shoving the cupcake in his lap. I guess he wanted to store some for later. What a cutie! I can't believe he is a year old. I love you so much baby B. You have changed my life in such a wonderful way. Thank you for everything you have taught me. I look forward to the many more life lessons and experiences we will share together! Daddy and I love you!

First Haircut

Back on B's 1st birthday we gave him a haircut. It was his first real haircut. We cut a lock of hair earlier but nothing big. We decided that we wanted to attempt the haircut ourselves. We learned some valuable lessons. 1. Do not wait til evening. 2. Wet hair is better than damp or dry hair. AND 3. Even B can pull off a bad haircut. We ended up cutting his hair in two stages. We got the front cut and B started to fuss and get VERY squirmy, so we waited until the next day to do the back. He rocked a sweet mullet for that night. Here are some pic:

The sweet mullet! Business in front and PARTY in the back!

Summer Days

One of my favorite things this summer has been going to museums. B and I have been able to attend several museum using the free cultural passes from the library. Also, Grandma Moore got us a Phx Children's Museum membership, so we go their regularly. It has been so fun having cousins to go with us. Here are some pictures:
